Dress Code

Students attend school to work and prepare themselves for their future careers.
In our experience what students wear affects their attitude to their studies; it
is on this basis that we require all students to conform to the following Dress
Code.
Students should aim to dress in a way that is appropriate for working
in an office.

All students are permitted to wear a pair of earrings. No
other body or face piercing are allowed- that includes eyebrows. Students will
be asked to remove any other piercing and may be sent home to do this.

Hair style and colour should be appropriate for office work and extremes
of colour and style will not be tolerated. Students will be sent home.

No torn clothing, chains, studded jewellery or offensive wording or
images on garments will be acceptable, including the French Connection UK Logo.
No BLUE JEANS should be worn in school.
No hats of any kind should be worn in school.
No track suits or tack suit trousers should be worn except
during PE lessons.

Male Students
Smart trousers
Smart tops / polo shirts
Comfortable shoes/trainers
No Shorts
No Blue jeans, torn trousers or tracksuit bottoms
No vest tops or those with inappropriate wording, logo or images.
Tops must be worn at all times.

Female
Students
Smart skirt/trousers
Smart tops / blouses
Comfortable shoes/trainers
No Blue jeans, torn trousers or track suit bottoms.
No low cut or ‘strappy’ tops, shoulders must be covered.
No exposed midriffs.
No very short skirts
No Shorts
Anyone who is felt
to be inappropriately dressed will be sent home, regardless of the journey.
Students will be expected to make up the time they miss after school.

The Director of Sixth Form has the final veto on the appropriateness of
sixth form dress and will not accept arguments over what students feel is
appropriate. Students will have to go home and change; a letter sent home will
inform parents of this misdemeanour and it will be recorded in the students
conduct record.

Please Note The more relaxed dress code is on the
understanding that when asked to attend a school function students will be
expected to be very smartly dressed in shirts, ties, jackets and no
trainers.

Er det dette jeg har i vente?
